Terms and Conditions

When you register a co.uk or .uk domain through us, the registration itself is held directly with Nominet, the official registry responsible for all .uk domain names. In this relationship, we act as your registrar and administrative point of contact.

The domain is registered in your name, not ours, so it is your responsibility to ensure the details you provide at the point of registration are correct and up to date.

Registering a domain entitles you to use it for the length of the term you have paid for — no longer. To keep the domain active, it must be renewed on time. If a domain is not renewed, it may be placed into a suspension period, and if it remains unrenewed, it can ultimately become available for registration by someone else.

Pricing

The standard cost to register or renew a .uk domain with us is £15 per year. If this pricing is subject to change, we will notify customers in advance of any change taking effect. There is no charge for transferring a domain away to another registrar.

Renewals

Ensuring timely renewal of a domain is the customer’s responsibility. As a courtesy, we send renewal reminders where possible — generally around 30 days before expiry, and again approximately 7 days beforehand.

Although we make every effort to send these reminders, we cannot guarantee their delivery in every case, so we would encourage you to keep your contact information up to date to maximise the chances of receiving them.

Transferring Your Domain

Consistent with Nominet’s rules on transfers, you are entitled to transfer your domain to a different registrar at any time you choose. We do not charge a fee for outgoing transfers.

Limitation of Liability

Klakedomains accepts no liability for loss or damage resulting from a failure to renew a domain, disruptions to service caused by third parties, or actions taken by Nominet under its own policies. In any instance where liability is found to rest with us, it will be limited to the amount paid in fees for the domain concerned.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes or complaints relating to .uk domain registrations are dealt with under Nominet’s Dispute Resolution Service (DRS), in accordance with its governing rules and procedures. These terms are subject to the law of England and Wales and cane be found in the links below.
